The shit no one tells you by Dawn Dais is a guide of what to expect in the first year of baby.
When I read this book I was already 6 months in so I had already passed through some of the things that she mentioned. But nevertheless, this book had me laughing from start to finish. I nodded my head in agreement at all the things that were so relatable or that has already happened to me. I was sad when the book ended because it was that good. She did alot of compare and contrast of what life was like before baby and what life is like with baby. Even though she made a funny twist on parenthood her message was simple, it’s not easy but it’s worth is so soak it all up while you can the good the bad and the ugly. My favorite chapter by far would have to be when she talks about children’s books and how ridiculous they are.
So do I suggest this book. Absolutely! I wish I had read this book while I was pregnant. It’s a good read for first time mother who have no clue what life with a baby is like. It gives you a good glimpse as to what to expect but without a serious tone (afterall I don’t think her point was to scare parents hence the comedic tone to it)
My rating : 5 full bottles of milk out of 5
so what’s book will I read next..cue drum roll please…
